There seems to be no end in sight for the success of such businesses as Zaken Corp., which is primarily involved in the acquisition and reselling of closeout merchandise. These types of merchandise are also called liquidation or distressed merchandise—items that need to be moved out of the supply chain in order to make way for new stock, or for newer models and better product designs. Most of these items are consumer goods such as electronics, clothing, toys, and other household goods with daily and practical use.

Zaken Corp. could virtually be considered as a vital link i
n today’s economic chain—filling the demand for more affordable consumer goods, while at the same time answering the need for big manufacturers and businesses to get rid of old stock. Most importantly, business opportunities are created for individuals who wish to cash in and become entrepreneurs, either as associates who look for the liquidated merchandise or sellers who help move these sellout products to a new market.

Zaken Corp. is the brainchild of Mr. Tiran Zaken, created in 1994. Mr. Zaken stumbled upon the niche of closeout merchandise and improved upon the system. Utilizing his existing skills and expertise in sales and marketing, he emphasized quality sales and service. By 1999, he had begun perfecting the system and multiplied his efforts by recruiting and training people not only on the acquisition front, but on the discount marketing and reselling end. Mr. Zaken had successfully identified the needs of the retail market and provided solutions on both manufacturing and selling aspects.

Now on its 15th year, Zaken Corp. continues with various advancements and even-increasing profitability not only for the company but for its partners and associates as well. In today’s time of recession, it could be said that the liquidation business is ironically at its peak. Many businesses both big and small have been saved from closure with liquidation buyers such as Mr. Zaken’s company. On the other hand, hundreds of individuals faced with the prospect or reality of job loss have found newfound confidence, independence and success with entrepreneurship, working as associates for the liquidation business.

In light of positive outlook for the company and its business, as well as considering many changes in the marketplace today, Zaken Corp. has geared up toward expansion and changes in their organization. Most of these changes are geared toward adapting better to the new market. The company has increased the number of its business support representatives, as well as the number of its re-marketing or sales force. The company’s marketing website has also been improved in order to increase sales.

Other changes in the business are focused on providing even greater value and opportunity for its partners and associates. Sales commissions are processed and released at a faster rate, providing even more incentive for its sales force to continue pushing the liquidated merchandise. Some policies on acquiring liquidation products have also been tweaked to ensure more consistent and higher rate of successful deal-closing with manufacturers and wholesalers. In terms of operations, Zaken Corp. has further improved the efficiency and reliability of its shipping.
